The Apocalypse is the end of mortal life on Earth. Central to the event is the Antichrist, who inescapably ushers in this End of Days. Immortals are not entirely agreed on the necessity of the Apocalypse, with the angel Aziraphale and the demon Crowley in particular trying to forestall its arrival — because they're perfectly happy with their lives on Earth.
