- In the Ars Goetia, Furfur takes the form of a winged deer and rules 26 demonic legions. He can create romantic attractions and weather changes and also teaches secrets to his summoner. Ironically, he's a Great Earl as per lore, not a mere pencil-pusher.
- Furfur's form as a deer in the Ars Goetia is referenced by the image of a deer on his sash when he appears on Earth.
- The scene in "The Hitchhiker" where Furfur mispronounced Aziraphale's name multiple times was not in the script and was Shearsmith's idea.[1]
