The Shopkeepers and Street Traders Association is an association of shopkeepers and traders in Good Omens.
Background[]
The Shopkeepers and Street Traders Association is an association located in Soho, London on Whickber Street. It currently has nine known members, including one of the two main characters Aziraphale, and the season 2 main characters Maggie and Nina.
Shops[]
A. Z. FELL & Co.[]
- Main article: A. Z. FELL & Co.
Aziraphale found his bookshop in 1800 due to his love for books. All of his books are signed first editions. Although his shop is officially a bookshop, he doesn't actually like to sell any of his books. He has many ways to keep people from buying his books, for example having impossible opening hours no one can follow or making the shop as unpleasant as he can. To the people in Soho, he calls himself Mr. Fell.
The bookshop is a charming and quaint establishment. The architecture is old-fashioned with many historic and antique artifacts and furniture between all the books. There is a black spiral staircase that leads to another floor with a lot more books. Somewhere up there is also a room with a bed and orange walls which Jim used in season 2.
Although it looks like a normal bookshop at first glance, there are more things to it. The round, threadbare carpet hides a circle of protection, something Aziraphale uses to summon the Metatron in season 1 and protect Maggie, Nina, and himself by putting a spell on the circle and discorporating the attacking demons.
As of now, the bookshop belongs to Muriel since the Metatron entrusted it to them after Aziraphale left.

The Small Back Room[]
The record shop "The Small Back Room" is introduced in season 2, and with it the character Maggie. According to Maggie, the shop was opened by her great grandmother in the 1920s and was originally in the corner of Aziraphale's bookshop. Nina assumes that it was Aziraphale's grand grandfather who knew her, unaware of the fact that it was Aziraphale himself.
Maggie's shop is rather small. The wall is covered in artists, stickers, posters, and records. There is the front of a car under the counter as decoration.
Maggie's shop doesn't seem to have a lot of customers. There are only two known shoppers, the first one being Aziraphale, who gets his records from her. The lack of business is finacially harming her, as she isn't able to pay months of her rent. Her landlord, Aziraphale, though, is too kind to kick her out and let's her stay in return for some records. Another reason is because he doesn't know where else to get them. The second customer is the pub "The Resurrectionist" in Edinburgh. They buy their records from her shop to use them in their jukebox. As of now though, all of the records keep turning into the song "Everyday", which is why they send them back and Maggie has so many copies of it.

Give Me Coffee Or Give Me Death[]
The coffee shop "Give Me Coffee Or Give Me Death" is introduced in season 2, and with it the character Nina. She may have a lot of customers, but she does remember the regulars. That's why Nina remembers Maggie's usual order, a skinny latte. Mrs. Sandwich also mentions that Nina makes better coffee when she's happier.
The shop mostly uses the colors blue and green, both for the walls inside and blue for the facade. There's a lot of decorational graffiti and art, such as coffee cups and different words. There are table and chairs inside, but these are also provided on the outside.
Give Me Coffee Or Give Me Death did not exist back in season 1. In its place, there were the shops "Jon Coffee" and "Honey Sweets". In 2019, Nina had bought "Jon Coffee" and made the coffee shop Give Me Coffee Or Give Me Death. She expanded the place in 2021 by also buying "Honey Sweets".[1]
Will Goldstone's Magic Shop[]
The magic shop "Will Goldstone's Magic Shop" is first seen in the minisode "Nazi Zombie Flesheaters" which is in the episode "The Hitchhiker". Back in 1941, the shop was owned by a magician called Pat. It is unknown what happened to the shop after Pat had been killed by Mr. Glozier, Mr. Harmony, and Greta Kleinschmidt. In the present day, the shop is owned by the magician Mutt.
The shop is filled with various magic tricks, puppets, funny masks, a fake skeleton, and other items used by magicians. Numerous posters are on the wall, among them Aziraphale's poster as Fell The Marvelous in 1941.
The shop is named after an English stage magician called Will Goldston, who was born in 1878 and died in 1948. It is possible that the shop was opened between the years 1905 and 1941, as 1905 is the time Will Goldston became popular as a magician and 1941 is the first time the shop is seen.

Notes and trivia[]
- There was a real building dedicated to Good Omens. A 5-floor Victorian Townhouse had been disguised as Aziraphale's bookshop with set replicas, props, and costumes from the show. This event happened for two days, the 1st and 2nd of June in 2019 at 19 Greek Street.[2]
- The car under Maggie's counter could possibly be a red/white Chrysler New Yorker St. Regis from 1956.
- In between all of the decorational graffiti on Ninas shop's wall, there is a snake with the words "Terry" and "Neil" on it, a reference to the authors of the original Good Omens novel, "Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman".
- Nina's coffee shop "Give Me Coffee Or Give Me Death" is a reference to a quote from Patrick Henry, "give me liberty or give me death".[3]
- It is unkown if Will Goldston has been the original owner of the magic shop or if the name of the shop was just dedicated towards him.
- Unlike other shops, Ms. Cheng's restaurant was already seen in the background of season 1.
