William Shakespeare is a minor character in the Prime Video series Good Omens. He appears in the episode "Hard Times".

Background[]

He is famous for writing "Romeo and Juliet" and other plays.

In the flashback, Aziraphale and Crowley met up at the Globe Theatre in London in 1601. Shakespeare's "Hamlet" was being performed on stage in an unusually empty theatre. Frustrated by this, Shakespeare said that only a miracle could make people watch Hamlet. Crowley agreed to perform a miracle for Aziraphale to make Hamlet a success.
